On a recent sojourn around the streets of Phibsboro the Savvy Shopper was invited to sample the delights of the Woodstock Cafe.
Although our original intention was to sample some hearty, well sourced and well priced food, what was also discovered is that said establishment is also responsible for making what could well be the best Christmas Pudding TSS has ever tasted.
As is so often the case, what started out as a five minute chat turned into an orgy of Christmas Pudding appreciation and having discovered that you can’t buy these handmade puddings online, TSS finally plucked up enough Christmas courage to ask for some for our readers.
So, each week until Christmas TSS will be giving away a handmade Woodstock Cafe pudding and as always, all you need to do is leave a comment here to win one for yourself !
We like Sundays at TSS. We make a pot of coffee to go with the Sunday papers and only when we are completely ready, TSS goes back to bed. What we never ever, ever do on Sundays … is rush.
Thinking it time we ran a competition that was as slow as our perfect Sunday, by chance we bumped into the folks at the King Sitric Restaurant who are kindly offering a perfectly relaxed Sunday Lunch on them.

The fabulously sounding King Sitric Hotel in Howth are running a great value dinner menu at the moment.
As you might have expected from an award winning restaurant on the edge of the sea, the menu is loaded with delicacies and the seafood arrives fresh as can be from their very own boats.

Each Wednesday and Saturday the Tapas Trail will visit five top tapas venues around Dublin including Bar Pinxto, The Port House, Salamanca Dame Street, Salamanca St Andrews Street and Havana Tapas Bar.
