On a recent sojourn around the streets of Phibsboro the Savvy Shopper was invited to sample the delights of the Woodstock Cafe.
Although our original intention was to sample some hearty, well sourced and well priced food, what was also discovered is that said establishment is also responsible for making what could well be the best Christmas Pudding TSS has ever tasted.
As is so often the case, what started out as a five minute chat turned into an orgy of Christmas Pudding appreciation and having discovered that you can’t buy these handmade puddings online, TSS finally plucked up enough Christmas courage to ask for some for our readers.

We like Sundays at TSS. We make a pot of coffee to go with the Sunday papers and only when we are completely ready, TSS goes back to bed. What we never ever, ever do on Sundays … is rush.
Thinking it time we ran a competition that was as slow as our perfect Sunday, by chance we bumped into the folks at the King Sitric Restaurant who are kindly offering a perfectly relaxed Sunday Lunch on them.
As befits a competition of such easy disposition, there isn’t really a massive rush to enter and a gentle comment left right about here might see you and your guest meandering in the direction of Howth Pier to sample the delights of King Sitric’s award winning menu.
