Ok slight hiccup ……

Those of you who come here often will remember a while ago we ran a competition for a midweek break at the Dunboyne Castle Hotel.

There was a winner, but then there wasn’t, four weeks passed and we couldn’t get hold of the original name out of the hat. Which left us with a problem, namely, who should have the prize. We drew again, this time the winner was Orla from Dublin, who gets a night at the fantastic Dunboyne Castle Hotel including full use of the thermal energy suites and dinner for two at the Ivy Brasserie !

Rooftop dining in a great location is normally something of a challenge. You call up, you wait for ages, they double book you and it costs a fortune. So when we saw the pictures of Dublins Marks & Spencer restaurant on Grafton Street and heard that it stays open till 10pm on Thursday and Fridays until the 20th August, we quickly registered an interest.

Savvyshoppers will be pleased to hear that as well as dining al-fresco in a fabulous rooftop location, the €12.50 menu will get you dinner, desert, a glass of wine and a nice warm glow – and we think that’s pretty much as good a deal as you can get.

We got in touch with Marks & Spencer, told them we liked the restaurant and they kindly agreed to give one of our readers a free meal for two with a bottle of wine to help things along a little .

In conjunction with the lovely people at Milano restaurants were giving two sets of lucky readers ( or tweeters ) the opportunity to eat at a Milano’s for free. Thats free …. as in free !

With a selection of unique locations across Ireland Milano specialises in authentic Italian Cuisine using ingredients that are fresh and health conscious and since were on the subject you may wish to try their range of Leggera dishes.

To enter our competition all you have to do is post a comment which completes this sentence ….

I would like to eat at Milanos because ………. ( please limit your answer to less than 100 words ).

The winning answer will be chosen by the good people at Milano who have restaurants in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Temple Bar, The IFSC Dublin, Dundrum Town Centre, Grand Canal Harbour and Baggot Street,Dublin.
